Do you need to take a day off from Ab workouts?

I did an intense ab workout and ran a bunch at track practice. That night, my abs were sore. Should I take a days rest or just continue working?

You should take a rest. I don't know what the other people are talking about. Your abs are muscles like the rest of your muscles, and you can't work them out seven days a week. It's counterproductive, because if you never give them a chance to heal, they're not going to repair themselves and get stronger.
