Looking for a 10 day rapid weight loss program call St. Joseph's diet.?

This diet is given to over weight patients before surgery, any ideas.
The 1st day you could eat toast, peanut butter & 1/2 grapefruit breakfast, lunch 1 can of tuna, dinner 2 types any meat, 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream, beets, veggies, 1 apple, 2nd day you could eat 1 hard boil egg, slice toast for breakfast,tuna & toast lunch, dinner involved apple, ice cream, 3rd day dinner involved having a 1/2 canalope, there were some other things on the menu, I just don't remember, this diet did truly work for me.

This is not called St. Joseph's diet, but I do know that some doctors have patients eat this before heart surgery.

What exercises can I do to lose weight fast?

I'm around 195 and want to get down to 130-140 [or a size 10] atleast. That's my goal for summer.

Boyfriend and I plan on walking 2 miles a day 5-7 times a week. What are the best exercises I can do to help me lose weight fast?

Of course I'll be eating healthy and such. :) Thanks in advance.

Heavy cardio. Running or any really high intensity/high movement sport is the best, but biking, swimming, and even power walking will do it. Do it for at least 30 minutes at a stretch, and try to do it every day. Jumping jax will even help!

Don't tell me its impossible! cuz it is I just dont know how to do it. 1 time I lost 2 pounds in a day so if thats possble its possible to lose weight in 2 weeks.
I'm still in school so for 5 days a week for 2 weeks I will eat oatmeal every morning around 7:30 and around 1 I'll eat salad and between classes I'll drink water (cuz water gets rid of toxin or whatever) and when I get home I'll go on my treadmill for 30 min. but idk what I would eat for dinner.
plz dont tell me "its impossible" or "starve yourself" i dont need that im asking for help so plz help!

Is running really the best exercise to lose weight?

Most people say running helps you lose weight more than any other regular exercises. Is that true? But they also say it trains your muscles more than any other exercises… And that’s exactly what I’m afraid of… I don’t want under any circumstances to get muscles!!! All I want is to lose weight without adding muscles to my body!

You will not get huge muscles from running, running is great cardio up there with swimming it is probably one of the best forms of cardio.

In running there is no resistance so you will not gain muscle doing running alone you will burn lots of calories and fat but to gain or add muscle you will need to add a form of strength training (weights/resistance).

Does anyone know about Acai berry and Wu-Yi weight loss programs?? ?

I found these free (and credible?) programs for weight-loss online. I also found Bromalite. Does anyone have any thoughts OR success stories with these products? I really want to loose weight bad. Thanks!

The Acai Berry comes in a chewable, twice a day before meals. The Bromalite is taken with meals. The Wu-Yi is a green tea drink that I just ordered today that seems notable too as well. I have JUST started on the first 2 so its too early to say anything about these.

Does running guarantee weight loss?

If I am eating healthy, and I run 3-4 times a week, am I guaranteed to lose weight continually?

There are no guarantees. If you are running you are burning calories. The more you run the more calories you will burn. If you eat, you intake calories, the more you eat the more calories you take in. Assuming you are really eating healthy, I would assume that the calories you burn would exceed the calories that you absorb, so theoretically you would lose weight. It is possible however that you are gaining some muscle mass in your legs from running, since muscle weighs more than fat, you may not lose weight, but will reduce fat.

I'm 16 and I weigh around 195 lbs. I always feel self-conscious around my friends but I don't exactly feel fat. I don't like that I'm unhealthy and I feel like I'd be happier if I weighed more of an average weight for my age and height. Unfortunately, I have a hard time with sticking to exercising and I almost kinda don't want to admit that I have a problem and I need to work on it. I could easily cut out bad foods because we don't have them around my house. My major problem is that I have snacks all the time. Not unhealthy snacks, but I do have a lot of them. I need something else to do with my time around the house that will keep me occupied and not thinking about my rumbling stomach. I'm also hoping to lose weight by the end of the summer so that I can be one of those miraculous summer transformations. I've always wanted to do that. Please say you have some way to help me!!

Weight Loss…I want to lose 50 lbs, safely. What can I do?

I am looking for a safe way to lose a lot of weight. I would be willing to take pills. I would love to find some herbal pills or somethin that will not hurt me to help make me feel full or burn fat or whatever. All I know is, I have just started to excercise regularly again but I want to lose more than just 3 - 5 lbs a month. I do not have time to do hard weightlifting or anything but I do walk, jog, and do the basics…set-ups, push -ups, etc. I have heard hydroxycut (sp?) works well if you use it for about 2 months on, then 2 off and etc. Any suggestions work. As long as the pills or plan will not kill me or cuz long lasting harmful effects, i will try anything.

The key to losing weight safely is not in a pill, not a trick diet, and definetely not a colon flush.

I'm sure you've heard people say this and i will say it again, exercise and eat healthy. You can safely lose anywhere from 2 - 5 pounds or more a week, depending on how and what you eat and what your workout is like. And you don't nececarilly have to sacrifice foods you like. Just be sure to drink plenty of water and eat plenty of foods high in fiber. Fiber will keep you regular(no need for that colon flush) and it will make you feel fuller(no need for that pill).

You might consider seeing a dietition or nutritionist. They could put you on a diet and/or workout plan best suited to your weight, age and body type.
