I am a 25 year old male, who is in a military branch… About two months ago I broke my leg… I am obviosly not able to run… Now my weight is becoming a concern… I am a bigger sized guy with a bigger sized appetite… I want to become solid again and lose fat without running… I am able to work-out the upper half of my body but can not workout my legs yet… What exactly can I do…

well im 15 and i lost 16lbs in 16 days im NOT joking either. i played dance dance revolution 30 min each day and ate healthier than i usually would like instead of lays salted potato chips i had pretzels and had smaller portions of all my food, i ate out of a bowl instead of a bag of chips. this really did work for me!

Well I will shamfully say that I went from an 6-4 215 athlete, to 6-4 300 pound slob in 4 years. I hate it, and please dont put anything mean on here I want and I am ready to change. I need help though, I have not even been near a gym in a year and a half, and have not ran at all in a long time. I recently started changing my diet and cut out the soda and started eating more fruits and veggies. I lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. I want to start running and my question is, is it safe to run at my weight? I was used to running several miles at a time 4 years ago, would it be safe to even try a mile right of the bat? Again, please dont be mean, I dont need that, I am trying hard now. By the way I am 24. Thanks for all the help!!

i would start out by walking and then jogging or using the elliptical at the gym. then after you can do a good work out effectively you should start running and could probably get your endurance up quite a bit.

I am 10-15 punds overweight and i really need help to lose weight….any tips?

First of all ,you need to watch the amount of food u take in .Then secondly,exercise everyday.If you are a busy person like most of us ,instead of sitting on couch and watching tv,stand up and do exercises while watching your favorite tv show.I have lost weight by doing this and also do not eat anything after 7 p.m. and if u drink something drink water after 7p.m.also leave off the sodas.i lost 8 pds in 1 week by not drinking sodas.

I know that losing weight quickly is not really the best option, but I'm in a wedding this July and really want to lose about 20-25lbs before hand. I'm 24 years old , 5'4" and weigh approx 154 lbs. I used to weigh 120 before I had kids. I know that I need to exercise, and eat right, but I'm still having troubles. Help!

you can lose that weight in just a few months. just do some cardio and some light weight lifting to tone your body. try running or bike riding.

running weight loss.?

I usually run 9-10 miles outside 4 times a week then use the elliptical at the gym 2 times a week for a hour.
for the past month I've been running on the treadmill due to weather and knee issues. But only for a hour a total of 7 miles about 5 times a week. I use the 10k setting so the incline changes throughout the workout.
Whats odd is that my weight suddenly dropped 10 pounds. I'm not complaining but I actually thought I'd gain weight from reducing milage.
I haven't changed my diet either.
I was wondering if anyone might have an idea why I wouldn't lose weight at a higher milage?

Since it's winter and it's cold out, you could be drinking much less water and dehydrating yourself. Then, you run these distances with little water in your body, you drink a little, and you stay dehydrated. 10 pounds of water could easily come from that.

my period is SUPER DEE DUPER LATE… but i’ve never had sex… ?!?

Ok, I’m 18 and I got my first period when I was 11. Awesome. I’ve been pretty regular for a WHILE… now, all the sudden, for the last two periods, I’ve been WAY late. My last one was about a week late, now this one is about a whole MONTH late. I still haven’t gotten it yet. What gives? Ok, I know it could be stress related, since I just moved away from home and started college and all, but I really don’t feel that stressed out. I had a few breakdowns in the beginning but that was about a month or so ago. I’ve also gained 10 pounds in a month (because I’ve been conditioning for my sport and building muscle mass) but I heard that weight only affects a period when it’s been a rapid weight loss, not a weight gain.

last week I had some cramps and some brownish, reddish spotting, and one day there was definitely some blood when I went pee, but then that was it, no more after that. What’s going on? I’m not on any birth control pills, though I’m about to start once I get this super duper late period… whenever it decides to come… GAHHHH… what’s going on? anybody else have this problem?

Your workouts might be the problem. If your body fat is too low or if you are training super hard, it can cause you to miss your period. Go into health services and ask for a second opinion.
