Running is better beacuse you are using more of your body. When biking the bike supports your body and is carrying a good portion of your weight. It builds strong muscels in your legs but if your looking to lose weight I would run, because you constantly moving and using your body.

I’m a gymnast and we do a lot of running to stay in shape.
it tones our legs and we turn flabs in to abs.

It depends on the person, however running has typically been considered one of the most effective ways to burn calories and increase cardiovascular strength. It must progress slowly, and running form is crucial to avoid injury. In general though, people are better off working more than one sport into their workouts and adding some light weight training as well.

amazingly i had done my research on this and apparently cycling is the biggest calorie burner with the second highest cross country skiing. i have done both and for me cycling has been greater but it all boils down to time put into each - because cycling in non impact on legs ankles etc.. you can probably go for longer but its probably swings and roundabouts. id suggest runnign if you have little spare time and no dodgy or niggly injuries.
